||
Teacher: Mitzi Vardill
ABOUT THIS COURSE In this term class Mitzi will introduce students to the foundations of abstract art, espcially painting in acrylics and mixed media. Abstract art is a personal expression of emotion , imagination and spontaneity and about enjoying the process of creation, experiencing the joy of playing with materials , colour, shape and design. Abstract Art is about the artist and as such becomes a reflection of their character. It is a personal expression of emotion, imagination and spontaneity. Abstraction is about enjoying the process of creation and experiencing the pure joy of playing with materials, colour, shape ideas and design. The aim of each workshop is to investigate the interaction of the tools, techniques and materials and how an artwork can be brought to completion.
The focus is on acrylics and mixed media. Independent oil painters and watercolourists are also welcome.
Its aim is to challenge the more experienced artists and teach those who have just started their artistic journey. Please download an enrolment form here to enrol.
