||
Teacher: Jane Blundell Day: Thursday Time: 12.30pm – 3.00pm Cost: $185 per person per 9 week term Type: 9 week term course
ABOUT THE COURSE In this course, students may choose to focus on Watercolour and Water Media and/or Drawing Media. Watercolour and Water Media: This is an introduction to watercolour, aquarelles, gouache and other water media and you will create mixing charts, learn about background effects, brushstrokes and washes and discover the surprising effects possible with inks and watercolour. Using your own watercolours if you have them, or artist quality sets made by the tutor, you will learn how colour works and how to mix exactly the right colour in whatever media you use, with the minimum number of paints. Drawing and Black and White Media: Learning to draw is largely about learning to see and then anything is possible. Materials covered include pencils, graphite, charcoal, Indian ink and water-soluble graphite. This is a progressive course to suit the total beginner or the more experienced artist who is a little rusty, or anyone who'd like a bit of guidance! Aspects of drawing covered include how to 'see' what you are drawing, how to sharpen pencils, perspective, shading, observation drawing, plants and natural objects, faces, hands etc. Click here to see work by Jane Blundell Max Students: 12 WHAT TO BRING
