Discover how to create beautiful illuminated letters, similar to those produced by medieval artists. A step-by-step guide to the process of applying colour and gold leaf will enable you to produce your own illuminated initial. These techniques can be incorporated into your other mixed media works. 

 

What to Bring - 

 

Elaine studied art and calligraphy as a mature-age student at TAFE, gained Guild Membership of the Australian Society of Calligraphers and then completed a B.Ed (Adult).  Her work has been exhibited in group exhibitions in Australia and Europe. She has won calligraphic awards and now judges calligraphy at shows in Sydney and interstate. She has been teaching calligraphy and allied crafts in courses and workshops for many years. She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm with her students.
