Cilla Davis,
Dip. Ed.
Cilla
trained and qualified as an Art Teacher in
Cape Town.
She taught at various schools and colleges in South Africa and Zimbabwe
before settling in Sydney.
Cilla is
has been an exhibiting member of the Royal Art Society since 1996. She has
won numerous awards some of which include a North Sydney Art Prize and the
latest prize being winner of the Mixed Media section at the Ku-Ring-Gai Art
Society.

Fiorella Banfi
Nelson
Fiorella’s teaching career began in London where she ran a language
department in a large company and taught Italian to the employees.
For
many years, as well as her day job, she taught at Morley College, London, a
part-time college of education, teaching evening classes.
She
taught “live on air” on a BBC programme contributed to one of the BBC
Italian teaching courses - Italia dal Vivo. But her “on air” career was cut
short when she became romantically attached to a handsome Australian and
followed him here! |

Jane Blundell, BA (Vis Arts), Grad. Dip Art Ed.
Professional Illustrator
Jane
Blundell is a highly experienced artist and teacher, having taught children
in schools, including HSC classes, and adults in community art centres and
her home for over 20 years.
Jane
draws and paints in a range of styles from realistic to totally abstract,
black and white to full colour. She has exhibited and sold in numerous
countries, including a solo show in Singapore, where she lived for 4 ˝
years. Prior to that she was in the US and is enjoying being back in Lane
Cove. She is currently working on her second book illustration project. Her

Jann French,
BA hons. Workshop Ceramics
Born in London, Jann is a highly experienced
artist and teacher. She holds a Ceramics degree from the University of
Westminster
and
in won the RMJM Art for Building Award in 1998 before migrating to
Australia to be near her family.
Since arriving in Australia, Jann has worked at
the Australia Council for the Arts, on the Community Cultural Development
Fund, and as a tutor and workshop facilitator for pottery, bookbinding and
other crafts at Centrehouse. Jann also has a studio in
Tempe
where she works on her pottery and sculpture.

Jean Roche
Jean
Roche is a native French speaker. He worked as a translator, newsreader and
broadcaster for the French Section of Radio Australia in Melbourne from 1968
to 1995. Jean also worked for SBS radio as a bi-lingual journalist for a
few years before moving to Sydney in 2001.

Kassandra Bossell,
B Vis Arts Sculpture
Kassandra Bossell is a professional freelance sculptor, designer, mold maker
and props maker. She graduated from
National Art
School with a Diploma of Visual Art and Sydney College of the Arts with a
Bachelor of Visual Arts, both with majors in sculpture. She has exhibited as
a solo artist in Sydney, Melbourne and Berlin and in group exhibitions
around Sydney in spaces including Fox Studios, Customs House, 151 Gallery,
Artspace and The Performance Space. Kassandra achieved the Steven Lardner
Award for Excellence in Adult Education in 1997.

After 17 years of teaching pottery Laura decided to stop these classes in
order to focus solely on yoga. Laura has a Diploma of Education, an
International Yoga Teachers Association Diploma, and an Honours Diploma for
Yoga. Also Diplomas for massage and stress management. She has been
practising yoga for 33 years mainly based on Iyengar techniques and for the
past 18 years has incorporated her experience of the Alexander Technique
into her practice and teaching.

Maria D'Addiego, Dip. Ed. CLTA teacher
Maria was born in
Buenos Aires, Argentina. During 8 years she worked in her home town
Hurlingham as a primary and kindergarten teacher until her desire to travel
took her to England where she lived for 5 years. While in London she taught
Spanish in Evening Schools and also as a private tutor as well as working as
a kindergarten teacher. She arrived in Australia in 1994 for the first time
and returned 5 years ago to stay. During her first 3 years she held Spanish
classes at Mosman Evening College. In 1999 she became a TESOL teacher at the
International House in Sydney where she later taught for a year before
having her baby Ignacio. Maria has a passion for teaching and enjoys the
challenge that it brings with it.

Marie James is an
award winning artist and is experienced in working with creative groups.
Marie works in watercolour, acrylic, and mixed media to create her
contemporary art works. She exhibits in metropolitan and country art venues.

Paul Gould,
BSc, BFA
Paul
Gould grew up in Manchester, England. After working as a research
worker for a few years, in 1989 he came to Australia on a one year working
holiday and is still here! He continued to work as a laboratory scientist
in Australia before deciding to pursue his dream of becoming a ceramic
artist.
Paul
studied ceramics at the National Art School, Sydney, graduating in 2000 and
is now a practicing artist. His most recent exhibition has been a solo show
of sculptural work at the Fourth Floor gallery in Surry Hills. He has also
sold functional ware at Balmain markets.

Sarah Balzer Grad
Cert Pilates
Sarah completed her Post Graduate Certificate in the Pilates Method at UTS
Sydney which finalised her training in the Pilates Method as a studio
practitioner using equipment and working with special populations. She has a
Fitness Leaders Certificate, and is a member of Fitness NSW. Sarah has been
active in the health and fitness industry for the past six years and has
over six years of teaching experience with Pilates.

Hons.
David Pavich David Pavich graduated from
the
National Art School, Sydney and is represented by Rex-Livingston Art Dealer
Sydney. He has over 10 years teaching experience, exhibited in
Europe,
been a finalist for numerous art prizes, and awarded residencies at the
Arthur Boyd studio at Bundanon and Murrays Cottage, Hill End.

Jelena Telecki, BFA
Jelena has
completed a BFA at the National Art School and an Honours year at the Sydney
College of the Arts majoring in Painting. She is an award winning artist and
resident of Lane Cove, who is also experienced in teaching art to young
people at the Ron Hartree Art School in Newcastle and the Meeting House in
Lane Cove.

Phillip Xu, B.A., Dip.Teach.
Phil
has started his tertiary level Chinese Language teaching experience in
Shanghai, China in the early 1980s. After migrating to Sydney, Phil was
invited as Chinese Language Tutor by a university in Sydney mid 1990s. Phil
currently teaches Mandarin for adults in a couple of community colleges
around Sydney. As a senior teacher, Phil uses his unique teaching
experiences to share his knowledge to all levels of students from beginners
till advanced learners. Phil won the Excellence of Chinese Language Teaching
Award (Chinese State Department) recently and he is a current committee
member of Chinese Language Education Council of NSW. |
